Art Opening: Zoe Osenbach / Botanicals

Orcas Center’s Visual Arts Committee (VAC) is excited to present an art opening on Friday, June 27th from 5:30pm – 7pm with featured artist, Zoe Osenbach in the lobby, and a community show with the theme of "Botanicals" in the Madrona Room.
Zoe Osenbach - Featured Artist:
"I’ve been taught to play and enjoy my work, and never take it too seriously. This has led me to be a very process oriented artist. I like doing things the long way, I like getting my hands dirty with my work, and truly having every step of it be ‘me’.
After working for many years as a photographer, I’ve found a new home with mixed media. I work with found/used/recycled objects to give them new life. I find creative freedom in the limitation of working with what I can find at the Exchange, or in my friends trash cans. So many interesting things lie beneath the plastic exterior of objects we are told to use, briefly, then discard."
Zoe Osenbach graduated from The Evergreen State College in 2010 with a BA in photography. She has since had art exhibitions in Olympia, Seattle, Whidbey Island, and her home, Orcas Island.
